Our Approach

History & Founding

The All India Artists Association was founded in 1955 by the visionary Shri Sudarshan Gour, a passionate advocate for the arts and a firm believer in the power of creativity to unite people. His tireless efforts laid the foundation for an institution that would become a beacon of artistic excellence and cultural unity.

Key Milestones

1955:

AIAA was established in Shimla with the vision of creating a national platform for artists.

1960s-70s:

AIAA expanded its reach, hosting national-level drama and cultural festivals that attracted talent from across the country.

1980s:

Introduction of the prestigious Sudarshan Gour Kala Gaurav Samman, honoring outstanding contributions to Indian performing arts.

2000s

The association evolved to incorporate modern art forms while preserving traditional values, making it a hub for both established and emerging artists.

Present Day:

AIAA continues to flourish under the leadership of Rohitashv Gour and Rekha Gour, staying true to its mission of promoting cultural harmony through art.

President: Rohitashv Gour

A celebrated actor and the son of AIAA’s founder, Rohitashv Gour carries forward his father’s legacy with dedication and vision. Under his leadership, AIAA continues to thrive as a platform for artistic innovation and cultural exchange.

Vice President: Dr. Rekha Gour

A highly respected figure in the world of theatre, Dr. Rekha Gour is not only the Vice President of AIAA but also the co-founder of Pratik Arts Theatre. Her relentless passion for the performing arts and her ability to mentor emerging talent have made her a cornerstone of AIAA’s success.
